It’s my favorite time of the year! I LOVE the holidays for so many different reasons–the gathering of family and friends, the joy of giving gifts to the ones you love, the baking of xmas cookies, decorating the tree–it’s all my favorite! But one of the many things I like about the holidays as a Pediatric Physical Therapist is helping families choose gifts that will help their little ones learn and grow. I love this mini trampoline for several different reasons. For those littles who may need some extra sensory input, it’s great for them to go get some jumps in to help organize their bodies. For the littles who are super active and have lots of energy, they can jump on and get some wiggles out!
Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball Set
This is such a great beginner basketball set that can help teach eye hand coordination, and it’s small enough to fit inside the house to help get some gross motor play in while the weather may not be fantastic outside!
Step 2 Game Time Sports Climber
This is another great set that can potentially fit inside your house to help with gross motor activities throughout the day all year long! Climb, slide, crawl, and grow!
I love tunnels for sensory reasons as well as motor planning reasons. Have your kids try crawling forwards or backwards through the tunnel! You can throw some balls in there as well for added sensory play as well as added obstacles to climb over and through to help build those core muscles!
Step 2 Fun with Friends Kitchen Playset
I loved having this kitchen playset in our home when our children were younger. It was hours of entertainment for them, and it was actually fun for me to because they wanted me to try all of their creations 🙂 This is a great toy that will give you and your kiddos years of fun!
