It’s Toy Recommendation time for my favorite age group – Preschoolers! This age group is super fun, and they are soaking up so much around them. They want to try doing things on their own, and fine motor skills really start to flourish in the preschool years. Here are my Favorite Fine Motor Toy Recommendations for Preschoolers! Have fun!
Highlights Cutting and Pasting Activity Book
I have always loved Highlights books. They have such great activities for the kids that are incredibly engaging and educational. This book has great activities to help the kids work on their scissor skills and also spacial organization with pasting items together.
Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards
The Melissa & Doug pattern blocks and boards classic toy is a set of 120 wooden blocks in various shapes and colors, inspiring kids to assemble colorful patterns on 5 boards. These are great for spatial awareness, color recognition, hand eye coordination, and problem solving.
These things are the coolest blocks to build with. Your preschooler will have so much fun with all of the different shapes, sizes and colors, creating their very own masterpieces.
Melissa & Doug Wooden Lacing Cards
Lacing is such a fantastic activity for preschoolers to really work on their fine motor skills as well as their eye hand coordination. This set is A-Z so it comes with 26 cards and 26 laces.
Who doesn’t love Play-Doh?! I used to love playing with Play-Doh as a kid. Play-Doh is great for strengthening hand muscles for this age group. This set comes with cutters to make it extra fun! Great fine motor and sensory activity for preschoolers!
This is a classic game that is GREAT for eye hand coordination, and what kid doesn’t love to go fishing?! Great game for preschool and younger school-aged kids (and parents!).
