Hello, Parents of Sensory Kids! I am Pediatric PT Mom, and I am here to help you understand your child’s sensory needs. I have 20+ years of experience working with children of all ages with varying special needs and sensory needs, and I want to share my knowledge with you to help you better understand your child, their developing nervous system, and their sensory needs. Children with sensory needs have always been some of my favorite children to work with, and I am so excited to share my knowledge with you to help you better understand your child and to help you meet their sensory needs so everyone is happier 🙂

In this guide, we will discuss the nervous system, what sensory processing is and what a sensory processing disorder is, the two main types of sensory processing disorder, and how to help children with varying sensory needs.
